Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.

LATEST NEWS:

If you were at our event in October, you heard from our friend, Army CPL Kevin McCloskey, who participated in our outing and spoke about his injuries from 2008 in Logar Province, Afghanistan.   In fact, this past Saturday, June 8th was Kevin’s “Alive Day.”  It was a very moving story.  He also told us of the specially designed home that was being donated to him and his Wife in Southampton from Homes for our Troops.  You can read more about Kevin’s story here:  https://www.hfotusa.org/building-homes/veterans/mccloskey/.  We made a commitment that day to Kevin to dedicating our efforts to ensure he was able to move into his home as soon as possible.  I am proud to tell you, that with the assistance of Friends for Heroes over the last year, that Kevin and his Wife, Bridget took the keys to their new home on January 12th of this year.   What a great day that was to see an entire community welcome Kevin and Bridget home.  I encourage you to click on the following links:

"We remember those who were called upon to give all a person can give, and we remember those who were prepared to make that sacrifice if it were demanded of them in the line of duty, though it never was. Most of all, we remember the devotion and gallantry with which all of them ennobled their nation as they became champions of a noble cause." -
